How long will the filming take?
A typical filming day will begin at 8.30am and end at 5pm However as each film is different and unique to your child a proper estimate of the time spent filming will be provided in the booking confirmation.
Is my child too young/old to be in a Roohoo Film?
We have designed the content of our packages to best suit the age of the child. Please visit about our films to view the package content and ages. We generally say that our Little Star Movies work best with children aged 4 years and up. We ask that you do take into consideration that young children can get very tired filming and may only be able to film for a couple of hours and this can effect the overall length of the film.
I’m worried my child won’t play ball, how can you guarantee there is something decent to shoot?
We can’t make any guarantees however please don’t worry! The best thing you can do is ask them. Do they want to be filmed and have their very own film of themselves to watch? Do they want to see themselves on TV? If the answer is yes then that is the first step covered. Your child will have our undivided attention ALL DAY. We will follow and film exactly what they want to do. We will show them the shots so they can see how they look. We will encourage them to talk about the things they love and they will be showing us the things that are important to them. Even if your child is typically shy, having us and a camera and out undivided attention is generally enough for a child to be drawn out of themselves. This type of filming builds confidence. It encourages children o be proud of why they are. what they have and celebrate their childhood. Give your child the opportunity to have a voice., make them feel good and feel proud of who they are. We will do the rest.
What equipment do you use?
Roohoo Films uses a Sony HVR-Z1 broadcast quality HDV camera with sound and edits on final cut studio. All films are edited to the highest standard using broadcast quality editing techniques and films include an ident, menu, title page and credits.
What length is a film?
A typical Roohoo Film will be roughly between 10 minutes and 30 minutes in length. It all depends on the package you choose. We aim to make a film you will want to watch time and time again. If we made a long film you simply wouldn’t watch it as much. The impact would be far less and the content diluted. When people hear how long one of our movies are they are often surprised however when they watch their film they are “blown away” with the final product and when asked about the length they say it is “perfect”. We know our stuff. We know how to make films you will want to watch over and over again.
When will my film arrive?
The films can take up to 28 days to be delivered but if you need us to be flexible on this we can certainly try. Films are delivered on DVD, personalised, in a special bespoke presentation box.
How many copies of the film do I get? Can I order extra copies?
We provide you with one DVD copy of the final film. Any extra copies of any films are charged at £15 per copy and £20 per copy including the bespoke box and ribbon
What areas do you cover?
Roohoo Films is based in North London, UK and at present we cover London and the surrounding areas. If however you are further afield please don’t hesitate to contact us to discuss your needs.
What about Child Protection?
Roohoo Films takes child protection very seriously. Anyone on location filming with your child will have been Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checked and completed a self disclosure form. Children will not be filmed without a consent form that has been singed by a legal guardian.
How much does a film cost?
Our films are completely bespoke and unique to your child and the pricing very much depends on what you want us to do! So it is best to Contact Us to discuss how to bring out the best in your little star!
